What a wonderful book and quilt! Come and create your own treasure. This book has 121 letters written by Civil War soldiers and a paper pieced pattern block accompanying each one. we will be covering 5 blocks each class, with 2 classes a month on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays. After a few months we will start assembling the rows. It will take one year and be worth every minute of it. Foundation patterns will be supplied as part of the class.

Supplies:
- book, "The Civil War Love Letter Quilt" by Rosemary Youngs
- fabrics are your choice, Civil War Reproductions work beautifully. Get a good variety of light, medium, and darks. Wash & press your fabrics.
- sewing machine in good work order
- rotary cutter and mat (small to medium size)
- scissors, paper & fabric
- add-a-eighth or add-a-fourth ruler
- 6" square ruler or 6" x 12"
neutral color thread with 2 bobbins filled
iron & ironing surface, small travel iron, mini iron or wooden iron (you can try finger pressing first)
- flat head pins, .05
