Class Description: Make your very first quilt from start to finish! Using Alex Anderson’s methods, you will learn how to choose fabrics, rotary cut accurately, and sew a perfect ¼” seam. Next you’ll do strip piecing, attaching borders and machine quilting. By the end of this class, you will have a completed 41”x41” quilt, including a label and binding. “This is the very best learning quilt I’ve found”, says Patsy. (class instructor)

Supply List:
Book: Alex Anderson's Start Quilting, 2nd Edition
**Read pp. 4-12 before class.
Rotary cutter (recommend 45mm with retractable blade)
Rotary ruler (recommended 6"x12")
Rotary mat (recommended medium size 17"x23")
Fine, silk pins or piecing pins
Basic sewing supplies: pincushion, scissors, seam ripper, one or two
hand sewing needles, etc.
100% cotton thread for machine – neutral color

Buy fabrics and pre-wash before class (pg. 8)
The shop folks are a big help and can offer great suggestions

Additional supplies will be needed for sessions 2, 3 and 4. Examples and
the list will be shown in session 1.
