Beginning Machine Quilting (10025749)

In this class you will learn to machine quilt on your own sewing machine, using the free motion technique and with a walking foot. This is a technique that takes practice and we will learn the basics and get you started.

Class: 3-hour session
Cost: $35.00 (includes cost of fabric kit for class)

Supply List:
Sewing machine (in good working order)
Extension table (if available)
Darning foot (required)
Straight stitch throat plate (optional)
Size 1 safety pins
Sewing machine needles size 80/12
Cotton thread - 50 weight
Any other threads you would like to try during the class
Quilting gloves such as Machingers (optional, but very helpful)
Basic sewing supplies (scissors, extra bobbins)

A muslin base will be provided, but please feel free to bring extra muslin and batting squares (approx. 10-12 inches in size) or leftover blocks to practice on.
